Web-pages keep opening in Lotus email, can I change this?

Top

Yes, and it is recommended that you do!

If Lotus Notes e-mail is opening Web-pages within itself you loose out on many features, options and securities that Internet Explorer offers.

To change this so that Web-pages do not open within Lotus do the following:

- Open your local Lotus e-mail program.

- Open your In-Box.

- Click on File >>> Preferences >>> Location Preferences...

- A new window will show. Click on the Internet Browser tab.

- From the drop-down menu choose "Microsoft Internet Explorer" and click OK.

- MOST IMPORTANT. Now click on File >>> Save

- You're done! You can close everything back to your In-Box.

How do I change my iNotes Web E-mail password?

Top

Yes, the local e-mail program and the internet based e-mail iNotes is different. If you change your local email password just remember that your internet email password did not change.

To change your internet email password we'll use the local Lotus Notes email program.

1. Open your local Lotus email program and log in.

2. From the Workspace, right click on an open area and choose Open Database... from the menu.

3. A box pops up. For Server, choose the MNJWC04... option.

4. For the Database, scroll down and select the RCUS's Address Book option.

5. Click the Open button. (the Address Book opens)

6. Search for your last name. When you find yourself double click on it.

7. On the Basics tab near the top, left side you'll see a Red pencil and the words "Edit Person". Click that button.

8. At the bottom of the list you'll see Internet Password. Type the new password there.

9. Remember to click on Save and Close when you're done.

It may take a minute or two to update the system with your new password.

I get an ERROR when I log in to iNotes Web e-mail, what can I do?

Top

If you get an ERROR screen after clicking on the iNotes link then do the following.

1. Close the popup.

2. On the page where you clicked the iNotes link, click on the browser menu Tools >>> Internet Options...

3. On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet files section, click the [Delete Files...] button and OK to the next popup box.

4. Click OK on the Internet Options box and it'll close.

5. Now you can click on the iNotes link again and it'll open properly.

PS. If you are using popup blockers you may have trouble because there are a lot of popups in iNotes.
